The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of June 30 -July 6. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 3:26 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, Andrew Martinez, 21, of Phoenix, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on State Route 260 at Bear Claw Drive in Heber.
At 7:24 p.m. on Thursday, Melissa MacMeans, 53, of Tucson, was cited and released for failure to remain at the scene of a collision after deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Kelton Ranch Road in Overgaard for a report of a hit and run.
