The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of July 9-15. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 4:32 p.m. on Friday, July 14, John Brandt, 72, of Overgaard was arrested for violation of probation following a traffic stop on State Route 260 and Mogollon Drive in Heber. Brandt was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
