The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of JUNE 10-15. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
A 6:38 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, Theodore Saylor, 29, of Overgaard, was arrested for assault after deputies were dispatched to the 2400 block of Quarter Horse Trail in Heber for a report of assault. Saylor was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, Aaron Merlina, 41, of Heber, was arrested for possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia, an open container violation and violation of probation following a traffic stop on the 1900 block of State Route 260 in Heber. Merlina was booked into the county jail.
At 2:36 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, Troy Bailey, 39, of Gilbert, was arrested for violation of probation after deputies made contact with Bailey in the Heber area. Bailey was booked into the county jail.
At 5:33 p.m. on Thursday, Wilfred Castillo Jr., 45, of Overgaard, was arrested for failure to comply with a court order following a traffic stop on the 2800 block of State Route 260 in Overgaard. Castillo was booked into the county jail.
