Mother Road Farmers Market is preparing to add a vibrant chapter to its thriving market story. Having already established itself as a flourishing daytime attraction with more than 100 approved vendors, the market will now be extending its offerings into the evening. Mother Road Night Market is set to make its grand debut from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 28, and is sure to bring a buzz of nighttime activity to Winslow.
For 14 weeks into the season, the farmers market has been a bustling hub of commerce every Saturday morning, welcoming over 40 vendors weekly. Amid the cornucopia of fresh produce, handmade crafts, and locally made products, visitors have also enjoyed delectable bites from a variety of food trucks. Building on this success, the night market is expected to feature many of these familiar vendors, as well as some new faces who are only available in the evenings.
However, the Night Market won’t just be about shopping and eating. Local band Bordertown is set to take the big stage—the same venue where the annual Standin’ On The Corner music festival is held—for an evening of live music. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and prepare for a delightful evening of shopping, dining, and foot-tapping tunes under the starlit Arizona sky.
Adding an extra layer of charm, the SlowTown Car Club will be present at the night market, giving visitors the opportunity to admire a range of vintage cars. This new addition is sure to attract auto enthusiasts, providing yet another facet of interest to the already multi-dimensional night market event.
Mother Road Night Market is slated to run on the first Fridays through October, with the second Night Market scheduled for Friday, Aug. 4. The Saturday morning Farmers Market will continue as usual until Oct. 28, and organizers plan to hold a monthly event during the off-season.
