The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of May 21 – June 3. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 6:46 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, Christopher Phillips, 43, of Glendale was arrested for aggravated DUI following a traffic stop in the area of Milepost 310 on State Route 260 in Heber/Overgaard. Phillips was booked into the Navajo County Jail. At 5:36 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, George Goswick Jr., 29, of Heber was arrested for failure to appear after deputies made contact with Goswick in the Heber area. Goswick was booked into the county jail. At 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, Hugh Sloan, 45, of Winslow was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct after deputies responded to the 1000 block of Elk Run in Heber for a welfare check. Sloan was booked into the county jail. At 12:39 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, Madayn Scola, 32, of Heber was arrested for DUI and DUI with a blood alcohol content of .10% or more following a traffic stop on Oval Drive and Mogollon Drive in Heber.
