The Lady Lobos finished their regular season with a 14-12 overall record after picking up wins in their final two games last week. Hosting Holbrook on Wednesday night they had little problems with the undersized Roadrunners. Snowflake held a cold-shooting Holbrook team scoreless through the first eight minutes. The Lobos held a 35-9 halftime lead, then cruised to a 51-28 win.
The following night the Lobos took care of visiting Blue Ridge 53-28 to wrap up their regular season. With their 9-9 record in power point games, the Lobos are headed to the state tournament as the No. 16 overall seed. They will host No. 17 Coolidge at 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday). With a win, Snowflake would advance to take on top-seeded Gilbert Christian on Friday night in the Valley.
