Nettie Frances Taylor was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Nelson, Okla., to Allen Lee Taylor (Hunter), and Abbie (Roebuck) Taylor. She grew up in Parker and there she attended school. Nettie passed away on Aug. 25, 2022, in Snowflake. Nettie loved keeping a beautiful yard full of vines and flowers. She loved animals and raised cats, dogs, rabbits, ducks and chickens. Nettie was a very good cook and served up family favorites, recipes including pork chops and rice, and chicken and dumplings. She absolutely made the best peach cobbler you’d ever had. She also was a skilled seamstress and owned a nice sewing machine. Nettie is preceded in death by her father, Allen (Hunter) Taylor; mother, Abbie (Roebuck) Taylor; brothers, Jack and Henry Taylor; sisters, Mary Belle Taylor Smith, and Lena Dell Taylor; her son, David Morehead; and grandson, Robert Morehead. She is survived by her sons, Bill Morehead (Charley) and Ted Emig (Pamela); and several grandchildren, Krystal and William Morehead, Liz Paradise Zulaski, Rachel Morehead, and Bethany and Amy Emig. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, at Greer’s Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Desert View Cemetery.
