The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of April 3-9. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. On Wednesday, April 6, Gary Bahe, 54, of Winslow arrested for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer after deputies were dispatched to the Navajo County Jail for a report of an inmate that had assaulted a detention deputy. Bahe was rebooked into the county jail. On Friday, April 8, Jayson Billie, 40, of Woodruff was arrested for resisting arrest, preventing the use of a telephone in an emergency, failure to comply and assault/domestic violence, after deputies were dispatched to the 7700 block of Bob White Avenue in Woodruff for a domestic violence call. When deputies arrived, they spoke with the reporting party who advised that Billie was intoxicated and refusing to leave. Billie was arrested and booked into county jail.
