The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of Nov. 14-20. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. On Thursday, Nov. 18, Kelly Vallejos, 55, of Holbrook was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and promoting prison contraband after deputies were dispatched to the Navajo County Jail for an inmate in the booking process who was found to have a crystal-like substance on her person. On Friday, Nov. 19, Elijah Jimmy, 31, of St. Michael was arrested for DUI, aggravated DUI and extreme DUI after deputies were notified of a vehicle driving erratically near Milepost 384 on State Route 77. The vehicle was located and Jimmy was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
