By Greg Perkins Holbrook’s volleyball team has been on a bit of a break due to COVID and hasn’t played a match since Sept. 30 when they defeated Show Low in five games. With their missed games having to be rescheduled they will now play six matches over the next two weeks barring any further setbacks. Holbrook is scheduled to play at Blue Ridge on Thursday this week, will host Payson on Friday, then welcome in Winslow Saturday afternoon. Next week they wrap up the regular season with three consecutive matches. On the 26th they are in Winslow, the 27th they host Blue Ridge, then Holbrook will close out the regular season on the 28th when they host Snowflake. Holbrook enters this week ranked 22nd in the 3A rankings. They will need to finish the regular season ranked inside the top 24 if they want to at least advance to the 3A play-in games which will be played on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the site of the higher seeded teams.
