At approximately 6:53 p.m., on Monday, May 31, Navajo County deputies responded to a report of a person laying in a field possibly deceased. Deputies arrived in the area of the 3800 block of Cortez Road in Snowflake and confirmed a deceased male, described to be in his mid to late 40’s. According to NCSO, the remains were found to be in advanced stages of decomposition and the identity of the subject has not been determined. Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit has taken over the investigation. At this time, nothing suspicious was noted during the investigation. This case is still under active investigation.
