Joyce Bradley Joyce Despain Bradley, age 75, of Snowflake passed away after a brief illness on March 17, 2021, in Murray, Utah. She was born January 26, 1946, to Richard and Mae Despain, in Snowflake. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 26, at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel, with burial in the Snowflake Cemetery immediately following the service. There will be a viewing that morning from 10 to 11 a.m. Joyce spent her youth in Snowflake, graduating from Snowflake High School. She then attended Cosmetology School in Safford and made many friends through the years doing hair. After raising her family, Joyce earned her teaching degree from Northland Pioneer College and Northern Arizona University. She found her true calling as a teacher and loved working with the children in the Snowflake-Taylor and Show Low school districts. Joyce enjoyed gardening, reading, genealogy and coaching her girls’ sports teams. What she lacked in athletic ability she made up with enthusiasm. Even though she worked full-time, Joyce never missed a game or performance. Through the blessing of technology, she was even able to attend her out of state grandchildren’s games and performances- she was their loudest cheerleader. Joyce is survived by her children, Kim, Cassie and Todd (son-in-law) and bonus children, Becky, Nate and Holly; grandchildren, Sophie, Eli and Peyton, and bonus grandkids, Jaden, Olivia and Jace; also, numerous friends and honorary children and grandkids she adopted throughout her years of coaching and teaching. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Snowflake handled the arrangements.
