Leitha “Helen” Thurman went home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2019, at her home in Taylor.

The visitation will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at the Lovelake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Snowflake. The service will follow at 1 p.m. The interment will be at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.

Helen was born on Jan. 24, 1926, to William and Eunice Bernard in Walters, Okla.

Helen is survived by two children, Sheila Ingham and Jerry (Linda) Thurman; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd E. Thurman her parents; two brothers; and her daughter, Dorsie Lea Donthett.
