Deputies set up a command post at the Country Store on Concho Road after they were advised that the suspects, William Dale Towell, 51, and Jamie Wingfield, 38, were fleeing from law enforcement on a short two-track road just south of the Country Store. Utilizing the Sheriff’s Office aviation unit, the vehicle was observed from the air as the suspects crashed their vehicle into a ditch and fled on foot.

Sheriff David Clouse stated, “The cooperation we have had from our deputies, MCAT and our support services made this apprehension possible. We are pleased to have these two suspects in our custody. We value each and every individual that resides in Navajo County and they should have the opportunity to live within our communities without the fear of being burglarized by these suspects.”
