Born in Prescott on March 13, 1950, she was raised by her wonderful parents George Lee and Pearl Tenney Romney. Shawna married Norman Frank Jackson on July 17, 1970, in the Mesa, Arizona, Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Soon after, she graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, with a minor in speech and dramatic arts, and a major in elementary education with Cum Laude honors. She later worked as a substitute teacher for a few years in the Snowflake Public School System.
Shawna and Norm lived in several parts of the Northwest while bearing and raising their 10 children. For the last 35 years she lived in Snowflake. She was a faithful, remarkable member of the church who valiantly served in many different callings in the church but whose main calling she fulfilled with honor, the most important one, that of bearing and raising her 10 children. She has 35 grandchildren with one on the way. The last 10 years she suffered from Parkinson’s Disease/Essential Tremors, which eventually took her life.
