Ruth Lynda Demings passed away on Nov. 21, 2018, in Snowflake. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, at the Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor. Ruth was born in Pennsylvania on July 13, 1938, to William and Freda Mae Bonitz. Ruth lived 43 years in Pennsylvania, 16 years in California, seven years in Nevada and then finally 12 years in Arizona where she called Snowflake her home. Ruth was an Army veteran and served from December of 1956 to April of 1958. She married Donald L. Demings on Nov. 5, 1983, in Hesperia, Calif. They celebrated 35 years together this month. She loved to read and going to the movies. Ruth is survived by her husband, Donald L. Demings; son, Jon (Teresa) Stugan of Mesa; and daughter, Joylyn (Joseph) Charles of Millvale, Penn. She has seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Ruth was preceded in death by her father, William Bonitz of Buena Park, Calif.; her mother, Freda Mae Bonitz of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and her grandparents, Fred and Bertha Taylor of Pittsburgh, Pa. Silver Creek Mortuary handled the arrangements.
