On Saturday, Sept 15, Holbrook High School show choir students traveled to Boulder Creek High School in Anthem for the Arizona All-State Show Choir competition. After a rigorous audition consisting of approximately 500 students from all school classifications (one to six) in Arizona, three Roadrunners were selected to the prestigious body: Sam Meeks, Third Chair Bass; Jake Shumway, Seventh Chair Tenor; and Josh Romo, First Alternate Tenor. As a result, in November the HHS trio, along with 48 other All-State Show Choir peers, will have the honor to attend a three-day festival with a nationally recognized director and choreographer at Horizon High School in Scottsdale. The HHS show choir is directed by Kyle Gardner.
