SNOWFLAKE — The Snowflake/Taylor Chamber of Commerce Lunch and Learn held at the Snowflake Social Hall on Aug. 22 was sponsored by Navajo County featuring a delicious lunch catered by Kendall Bryant, owner of Snowflake Smokehouse BBQ.
In attendance from Navajo County were County Manager Glenn Kephart, Assistant County Manager Bryan Layton, Sheriff KC Clark and Government Relations Director Adam Wolfe.
Executive Director Charlotte Hatch gave a brief presentation of past and upcoming chamber events, saying that the Pioneer Days Arts and Craft Fair at the City Ball Park with the car show turned out really good as well as the vendors for the Fourth of July Rodeo.
The Sweet Corn Festival is next on the list, which will be followed by Harvest Fest on Saturday, Oct. 13, and the Chamber Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
Hatch said regarding the Harvest Fest, “Our job will be to put on the carnival for the community and families.” The carnival will be held in Pioneer Park with wagon rides to the Willis Farm for the pumpkin maze.
Joe Voutour, an ambassador with the chamber, asked folks to sign up to do Google reviews for the chamber. He said he is working to increase the chamber’s reviews to get more people interested in what is happening in the Snowflake-Taylor area. “So far this chamber has 23 reviews, all five stars. We need to increase that number to attract more visitors,” said Voutour.
