Chalcedony Lodge No. 6, Free and Accepted Masons, will hold its annual barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or whenever the food runs out) on Monday, Sept. 3, at the Jeffers Ranch. The menu will feature slow roasted beef with corn on the cob, coleslaw, a roll, a beverage and dessert priced at $12 a plate. To reach the Jeffers Ranch, turn west at Circle K on the hill in Holbrook. All proceeds from the barbecue will go directly to Chalcedony’s local charities. The lodge’s main charity is the annual Clothe-a-Child program at Christmas, the annual Masonic essay contest and local scholarships. Limited meal delivery will be available within a five-mile parameter the event. Call (928) 241-8620 on the day of the barbecue for delivery. Chalcedony Lodge No. 6 is part of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Arizona, and has been active in Holbrook since 1887.
