On March 6 at the regular monthly meeting of the Snowflake Town Council, the council unanimously voted for Greg Brimhall to fill the council seat made vacant by Terril Kay who was elected to the council in 2014. Kay resigned from the position for personal reasons in late 2017.

Three prospective candidates were being considered for the position. Local residents Gene Hall, Heather Petersen and Brimhall were the final candidates vying for the open seat. Council member Allison Perkins said, “I am grateful that all three of you are so willing to serve the community.”

Brimhall was born and raised in Snowflake and has been involved in real estate and development in the local area for many years. He is also a coach for the Snowflake High School golf team.

Brimhall has also expressed the desire to run for election this year after finishing this seat term. The primary election will be held on Aug. 28 followed by the general election on Nov. 6.
