Halloween is known as a night of mischief, and Oct. 31, 2016, lived up to its reputation in the Highland Park area of Snowflake.
At approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, officers on patrol in that area located graffiti on the walls surrounding the tennis courts of Fredrickson Park, located at the intersection of Second West and Eighth South.
While checking the surrounding area and neighborhood, officers located additional areas that were damaged by graffiti.
“A total of three cars in the area had (derogatory statement about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump) spray painted on the exterior,” said Snowflake-Taylor Police Lt. Bobby Martin. “Walls surrounding the park, playground equipment, skate park equipment, two buildings, water towers, a shed and fence surrounding a home were also spray painted with similar phrases.”
The cost of the damage has not been established.
As of press time there were no suspects in custody, but Lt. Martin said that if an arrest is made, the suspects could be facing felony charges.
The Snowflake-Taylor Police Department is seeking any and all information regarding these senseless acts.
