Michael Richard Alfano went to Heaven on his 65th birthday, Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, in Snowflake. Michael was born in Ehringshausen, Germany, where he was adopted at the age of 3 and then came to America. He grew up in Pasadena, Calif., where he met his wife, Candace. They moved to the White Mountains in 1997. Michael loved to fish and take rides around the mountains. Survivors include his only child, Jennifer White; son-in-law, Jason White; his beloved grandchildren; and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Candace Alfano, in June 2016. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
