For the third year running, the Painted Desert Kiwanis Club is coordinating a community wide cleanup. This year’s date is Saturday, June 4, and the start time is 9 a.m., meeting at Hunt Park. Individuals and groups are encouraged to come and spend an hour or two helping to make Holbrook a more attractive place for residents and visitors alike. Intentionally scheduled a week prior to the June 11 Route 66 Festival and a month prior to Holbrook’s Wild West Days, the goal of the campaign is to put a cleaner, brighter face on our community. Come to Hunt Park at 9 a.m. on June 4 and you can choose which street will be yours to clean. You’ll receive colorful vests (to be returned) and trash bags. The Kiwanians offer their thanks to the City of Holbrook for partnering with them for this project. If you have questions, please contact Cleanup Coordinator Jeff Johnson at (928) 421-9061.
