Gertrude Bessie (Graham) LaRose was held in the hearts of her loved ones on Sunday, April 5, 2015, as she quietly “walked” into her new life. A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, May 12.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1925.

She lived about 20 miles east of Snowflake for over 30 years, where she was known by few, but loved by many.

She leaves behind her sons Ed, who watched over her for over 20 years, and Don, who cared for her for nearly two years before she moved into Webb’s Adult Care Home in Snowflake, and Duncan. She also leaves behind her daughter, Ascyna Talking-Raven (Shirley); sisters Loretta Kurkeberg of Phoenix and Pearl Jones of Donaldson, Ark.; along with 13 grandchildren, and almost 100 great and great-great-grandchildren.

She is embraced by her beloveds who preceded her, including her parents, Sam and Ruby Graham; her beloved husband, Ed (Bud); her brothers, Cecil and Mack; her son, Richard; and her daughter, Marlene.

Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
