Anne Ruth “Peggy” Stratton, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, in Chandler. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Main Street Chapel in Snowflake. Viewings will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, at Owens Livingston Mortuary in Snowflake and at 12 noon on Saturday morning at the Main Street Chapel.
She was born on May 9, 1927, in Cotton Center, Texas, to Bernice Dodson and Ruth Moore Dodson.
Survivors include her husband, Eldon “Spud” Stratton; three sisters, Alta Bea Hartdorn, Mary Morehead and Virginia Long; three sons, Thomas and Patricia Meeks, Kenneth and Judy Meeks, and Robert and Jeri Meeks; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her Stratton family, including daughter, Sherry and Merlin Hancock, and son, Russ and Felicia Stratton; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren and two deceased great-great-grandchildren.
