Applications are being sought from citizens who would like to be considered to fill a vacancy on the Snowflake Town Council. Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest by the end of December to Snowflake Town Hall, located at 81 W. First South St. Applicants will be asked to express their opinions on town issues at the Tuesday, Jan. 13, council meeting. The vacancy was created when the council appointed Tom Poscharsky as mayor after the sole mayoral candidate, Jason Whiting, withdrew his candidacy and resigned from the council to take a seat on the Navajo County Board of Supervisors.
