Brittney Arnett, the parent of a student at Highland Primary School in Snowflake last year, had a desire to promote literacy in the school so she wrote a grant proposal to Dollar General. Snowflake School Superintendent Hollis Merrell reported at the Oct. 9 district governing board meeting that Arnett had since moved to northern Nevada, but thanks to her, the school received a $3,000 grant from Dollar General.
