The All Season’s 4-H Club hosted a pre-fair practice show Aug. 16 at the Taylor Rodeo Grounds.

Recently All Season’s 4-H Club, with members from Taylor, Snowflake, Pinetop, White Mountain Lakes, Lakeside and Show Low, was revamped and now offers a wide array of projects ranging from livestock to poultry and archery, cooking and sewing.

The Pre-Fair Show offered classes in all animal categories, including rabbit, cavy, poultry, dairy goat, pack goat, market goat, market swine, market beef and breeding, and market sheep.

All members showed in confirmation classes, then competed in showmanship in either the senior, junior or novice categories to prepare them for the Navajo County Fair. There were entries in each category, but the largest number of entries was the sheep show in the market division with 20.

“Exhibitors have been working very hard training their animals, feeding and grooming them to get them ready to show and practice for the Navajo County Fair,” said Heather Scott.

“All exhibitors learned a lot and are going to work hard to prepare for the Navajo County Small Stock Show.”
