The Winslow Police Department received five reports of theft during the period of March 27 – April 2 according to dispatcher reports. At 1:54 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, an employee of Maverik, located at 2100 N. Park Drive, reported the theft of beer. Norville Riggs, 59, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident. At 2:31 p.m. on Wednesday, an employee of Walmart, located at 700 Mike’s Pike St., reported the theft of miscellaneous items. Brandon Smith, 34, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident. At 11:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, an employee of Maverik reported theft of alcohol valued at $7.66. Byron Gorman, 40, was arrested for shoplifting and a violation of a court order in connection with the incident. At 4:12 p.m. on Thursday, a resident reported the theft of items from a vehicle parked at Roadway Inn, located at 1916 W. 3rd St. At 4:26 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, an employee of Denny’s, located at 400 Transcon Lane, reported the theft of services valued at approximately $80.
