The Winslow Police Department received 17 reports of theft during the period of Sept. 28 – Oct. 18, according to dispatcher reports. Persons who were cited, charged, or arrested by WPD officers in connection with these incidents are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 1:11 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, an employee of Circle K No. 2, located at 524 W. Third St., reported the theft of a can of beer. Hermilo Ramos Jr., 33, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident.
At 1:31 p.m. on Wednesday, an employee of Love’s Travel Stop, located at 720 Transcon Lane, reported a theft of souvenirs.
At 9:05 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, a person reported that acetylene and oxygen tanks had been taken from the bed of a truck parked at Maverik, located at 2110 N. Park Drive.
At 2:17 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, a person reported the theft of $546.35 after their credit card information had been taken by a skimming device attached to a card reader at Circle K No. 1, located at 317 N. Williamson Ave.
At 3:03 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, an employee of Dollar General, located on 705 Mike’s Pike Street, reported the theft of a package of building blocks.
At 4:31 p.m. on Monday, an employee of Maverik reported the theft of sunglasses.
At 6:12 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, an employee of Walmart, located at 700 Mike’s Pike St., reported a theft.
At 2:56 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of a beverage that he drank it in the store without paying.
At 3:19 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 8, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of items.
At 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of alcohol. Ferlando Curley, 28, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident and violation of a court order.
At 9:27 p.m. on Thursday, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of car oil.
At 7:42 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of a pair of shoes and a charger pack. Blaine Choyou, 49, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident.
At 5:24 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, an employee of Circle K No. 1 reported the theft of a can of beer valued at $1.63.
At 7:57 a.m. on Saturday, an employee of Good 2 Go, located at 90 Hipkoe Drive, reported the theft of a beer and a soda. Brandon Hart, 32, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident.
At 7:43 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of a can of infant formula and three packs of beer.
At 1:11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, an employee of Denny’s, located at 400 Transcon Lane, reported theft of services valued at $67.
At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, an employee of Maverik reported the theft of $150. Arlin Shorthair, 36, was arrested for theft in connection with the incident.
