The Winslow Police Department received 30 reports of theft during the period of July 20 to Aug. 9 according to dispatcher reports. Persons who were cited, charged, or arrested by WPD officers in connection with these incidents are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 9:20 p.m. on Monday, July 20, an employee of Circle K No. 1, located at 317 N. Williamson Ave., reported the theft of alcohol.
At 11:40 p.m. on Monday an employee of Circle K No. 2, located at 524 W. Third St., reported the theft of alcohol.
At 6:32 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, an employee of Circle K No. 1 reported a theft.
At 11:44 a.m. on Wednesday an employee of Conoco, located at 500 W. Third St., reported a theft.
At 11:25 a.m. on Friday, July 24, an employee of Walmart, located at 700 Mike’s Pike St., reported a theft of alcohol.
At 9:04 p.m. on Friday a person reported that a ring valued at $215, had been stolen from her booth at the farmers market on 523 W. Second St.
At 5:43 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of electronics.
At 6:41 p.m. on Saturday an employee of Circle K No. 1 reported the theft of alcohol.
At 6:57 p.m. on Saturday an employee of Walmart reported a theft.
At 12:01 a.m. on Monday, July 27, an employee of Circle K No. 1 reported the theft of three 12-packs of beer.
At 2:04 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, an employee of Circle K No. 2 reported the theft of a case of beer.
At 6:47 a.m. on Tuesday an employee of Walmart reported the theft of an iPhone.
At 6:14 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, a person at Painted Desert Apartments, located at 200 Kathie Drive, reported the theft of $50 from a wallet.
At 10:12 a.m. on Wednesday, an employee of Love’s Travel Stop, located at 720 Transcon Lane reported a shoplifting incident. Jeremy Chappell, 48, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident.
At 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday an employee of Walmart reported the theft of lotion. Germaine Begay, 41, and Natively Tsipai, 21, were each arrested for shoplifting and violation of a court order in connection with the incident.
At 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of a personal hat.
At 8:06 a.m. on Friday, July 31, a person on the 1000 block of North Kinsley Avenue reported the theft of a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe. Angel Ortiz, 33, was arrested for unlawful use of means of transportation and driving on a suspended license in connection with the incident.
At 4:04 p.m. on Friday an employee of Casey’s Project Store, located on 219 E. Fourth Street., reported a theft.
At 3:42 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, an employee of Walmart reported a theft. Lemar Abe, 48, was arrested for organized retail theft in connection with the incident.
At 9:42 p.m. on Saturday an employee of Circle K No. 1 reported the theft of two beverages valued at about $8.30.
At 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, an employee of Walmart reported a theft of alcohol. Derrick Begay, 42, was arrested for shoplifting, violation of a court order and a warrant in connection with the incident.
At 4:33 p.m. on Sunday an employee of Circle K No. 2 reported the theft of a fountain drink. Corey Yazzie, 36, was arrested for trespassing and shoplifting in connection with the incident.
At 11:08 p.m. on Sunday an employee of Maverik, located at 2110 N. Park Drive, reported the theft of alcohol.
At 1:44 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, an employee of Circle K No. 2 reported a theft of two 12-packs of beer. Jesus Quintana, 22, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident.
At 5:49 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, an employee of Walmart reported a theft.
At 11:47 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, an employee of Circle K No. 1 reported a theft of alcohol.
At 2:17 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, a person at the Garden Apartments, located at 4607 Coopertown Road, reported that a USPS package had been stolen from her apartment complex.
At 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, an employee of Walmart reported the theft of food. Andrew Griffin, 39, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident.
At 4:16 p.m. on Saturday an employee of Walmart reported a theft of a phone charger. Virgil Keyonnie, 72, was arrested for shoplifting and a warrant in connection with the incident.
At 5:19 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, an employee of Circle K No. 1 reported a theft of alcohol. Jacob Garcia, 20, was arrested for shoplifting in connection with the incident.
