On Jan. 25, the Lady Bulldog wrestlers traveled to Payson to compete in the Rumble on the Rim along with 12 other teams in the one-day tournament.
Boulder Creek would take the top spot with 169.5 points. Winslow would come in fifth with 62 points.
Winslow wrestlers placing in the tournament included Amanda Childers in the 100-pound class who finished in second place, having a fall at 1:38.
In the 107-pound class Dakota Salazar placed fourth, with a fall at :34.
In the 114-pound class Peyton Baker placed in seventh place.
In the 126-pound class Emily Wilbanks placed seventh place.
In the 138-pound class McKenna Hardy would pin her opponent at :17 to take first place.
In the 145-pound class Analycia Valenzuela placed sixth place.
On Jan. 22 the boys and girls Bulldog wrestling teams also competed at the Window Rock Wrestling Jamboree at Fort Defiance. McKenna Hardy took first and Childers took sixth place for the girls. For the boys Evan Sanchez would finish fourth, Nicholas Alberry placed sixth, Marcellus Lenz finished second and Ethan Joe placed sixth.
