The Arizona Governor’s Conference on Tourism was held July 20 in Phoenix to honor and recognize outstanding individuals and teams in the tourism industry.

The Winslow Visitor’s Center team of Bob Hall and Angela Moser brought home the prestigious award for Tourism Spirit of Service. Hall and Moser attended the conference after being invited and nominated by community members.

According to Hall, nearly 5,000 people attend the conference each year, all from the tourism industry. Every aspect of the industry is represented, including park rangers, business owners, attraction curators and visitor’s center directors. The conference provides educational workshops and networking opportunities, all designed to strengthen Arizona’s tourism reputation and draw.

Of the award Hall said, “We have to say thank you to our community. Your support means everything.”
