According to Winslow Fire Chief James Hernandez, none of the fires that the Winslow Fire Department has responded to over the past several weeks appear to have a connection at this time. The majority of the fires appear to have been either human errors or faulty equipment failures. The Winslow Fire Department would like to remind citizens to closely inspect your residence to ensure your safety. Aging electrical wiring, old gas piping, inattention, and sometimes recklessness has caused many of the recent fire incidents.
