Padilla and several witnesses identified the person who shot him as Eric Vargas, 32, of Winslow.
Witnesses stated Padilla was standing in the street talking to another subject when a silver colored vehicle drove up and began firing at him striking him in the foot. Padilla said that he and Vargas have an ongoing dispute over some comments made by both parties and had agreed to meet at that location to resolve their differences.
