“Our expenditures are less than our revenues,” Taylor Town Manager Gus Lundberg advised the town council during a financial update given at the Nov. 5 meeting.
He noted that the total revenue for the first quarter of the fiscal year was $695,297 and the budgeted amount for the fiscal year is $3,045,978.
General fund expenses are budgeted at $2,531,800 and $658,686 was expended in the first quarter.
The water fund revenues for the first quarter were $132,327 and expenditures were $75,420.
The sewer fund expenditures were $317,765, while revenues totaled $146,631. Lundberg explained that the town made an annual payment for the wastewater treatment plant and expenditures will level off for the rest of the fiscal year.
Lundberg also gave the council members information to review, and invited them to see him with any questions they have.
In other business, the council approved a temporary right of way use permit form.
Lundberg said he thought it would be wise to have the conditions of the temporary easements for use of public right of way in writing, including what the grantee and the town agree to do.
Town Attorney Karl Lautz prepared the form, which included a statement that the easement did not run adjacent with the land, and it was exclusive and non-transferable.
There was a brief discussion before the council approved the form, which will be tailored to individual requests.
