The Holbrook Police Department has released information regarding an armed robbery that occurred at 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at Super Fuels located at 866 Navajo Blvd. According to Police Chief Nathan Christensen, one suspect was armed with an AR-stye rifle. He was located near the scene and identified as Calbert Pete, 19, of Keams Canyon. Pete was charged with armed robbery.
The following day, on April 26, HPD received an anonymous tip regarding the whereabouts of the second subject related to the armed robbery who was seen in the 1600 block of Navajo Blvd. Officers with Holbrook PD, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office and the Arizona Department of Public Safety, responded to the area and located Dominic Richards, 18, a transient. A foot pursuit ensued, and he was captured and taken into custody. He was booked into the Navajo County Jail on robbery charges.
Taken during the robbery were vapes and alcohol, with some of the items recovered. The clerk was unharmed during the robbery.
