Susan Maria Miller Susan Maria Miller was born Oct. 30, 1956, in Portland, Maine, to Henry Duarte and Caroline Olsen, and passed away July 31, 2021. During Susan’s life she was a baker at Safeway for five years. She loved to cook, she had a huge heart and loved everybody. Her two favorite people were her daughter Joan Duarte and friend Shannon Vaughn. She loved her dog Bella the most. Susan Maria Miller was married to Sam Miller for 20 years. She will be missed deeply. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sandra Navarro. She is survived by her daughter, Joanie B. Duarte; grandsons, Jimmy, Ryan, Jason and Kyle; great-grandsons Jayce Horner and Aden Smith; and sister, Margaret Williams. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
