Members of the Navajo County 4H Horse Club were honored by the Navajo County Board of Supervisors for their participation at the State Horse Show at the meeting on Nov. 27.

Jme Baloo, event director for Navajo County Fair, said, “We are very proud of the kids. Nineteen kids went down to represent us and we had representation in just about every class that was offered.”

Supervisor Jason Whiting acknowledged the leaders, youth and parents involved in the program, saying, “Sometimes it is forgotten how much time as a parent you put into the travel, time and support given to the youth. You are part of the success and what they accomplish. We appreciate the leaders and their commitment.” And to the youth, Whiting said, “At the end of the day it is up to you to make the decisions; to put in the work and make the success.”
