At approximately 7:50 p.m. on Friday, Aug 9, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 8100 block of Bushman Avenue in Joseph City for a report of a physical altercation involving a weapon.
The reporting party advised that Moncesco Hedman Nez, 26, of Pinon, was in possession of a knife and was fighting with Montana Nez, 30, of Pinon. Deputies arrived on scene and conducted an investigation, the investigation revealed Moncesco stabbed Montana during the physical altercation. Both Moncesco and the Montana were transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Once Moncesco was cleared by medical staff, he was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
