One collision was investigated by Snowflake-Taylor police officers during the period of Jan. 18-31, according to dispatcher reports. At approximately 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, a gray, 2018 Volkswagen SUV driven by Marlena Goodman, 40, of Snowflake slid into the gray 2015 Ford SUV driven by Clinton Cooper, 55, of Snowflake while attempting to make a right hand turn from Papermill Road into the southbound, number 2 lane on North Main Street in Taylor in icy conditions. The collision caused cosmetic damage to the Ford SUV, and significant damage to the Volkswagen SUV, including full curtain airbag deployment. Upon investigation it was determined that the primary contributing factor to the collision was the icy conditions, and neither party was cited. McClaran Auto towed the Volkswagen from the scene. At 9:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Crew Perkins, 21, of Snowflake lost control of his vehicle during a right hand turn at the intersection of Main Street at Papermill Road in Taylor. Perkins was turning right off of Main Street onto Papermill Road. The roadway was icy and Perkins spun out and slid into a vehicle driven by Devin McNeil, 30, of Snowflake causing minor damage to both vehicles. Perkins was speed greater than reasonable and prudent.
