The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of Aug. 3-9. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 10:53 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3, Brian Jackson, 41, of Winslow, was arrested for driving on a suspended/canceled/revoked license following a traffic stop on State Route 87 at milepost 348 in the Winslow area. Jackson was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 3:01 p.m. on Sunday, Richard Begay, 64, of Bird Springs, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on North Park Road at milepost 5 in the Winslow area.
At 5:42 p.m. on Sunday, Tylor Tsosie, 25, of Rock Point, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on State Route 87 at milepost 350 in the Winslow area.
At 12:21 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, Phillip Harris Jr., 64, of Winslow, was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 4300 block of Well Field Road in Winslow for a report of a disorderly subject. Harris was booked into the county jail.
At 1:17 p.m. on Monday, Christopher Harris, 32, of Winslow, was arrested for disorderly conduct, escape and failure to comply with a court order after deputies were dispatched to the 4300 block of Well Field Road in Winslow for a report of a disorderly subject. Harris was booked into the county jail.
At 2:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, Tyrone Lake, 28, of Kayenta, was arrested for DUI while driving on a suspended license, endangerment and aggravated DUI after deputies made contact with Lake on Territorial Road in Holbrook. Lake was booked into the county jail.
At 3:21 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, Randy Trujillo, 64, of Holbrook, was cited and released for driving on a suspended/revoked/canceled license following a traffic stop on McLaws Road and Whiting Avenue in Holbrook.
At 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Jaren Rodriguez, 24, of Bernalillo, N.M., was cited and released for reckless driving following a traffic stop on State Route 77 at milepost 387 in the Holbrook area.
At 3:04 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, Bridget Anthony, 44, of Benington, Demarcus Devers, 22, of Omaha, and Darius Devers, 41, of Omaha, were each arrested for transportation and/or sale of a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession and/or use of a narcotic drug, transportation and/or sale of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession and/or use of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Interstate 40 at milepost 292 in the Holbrook area. Each of the suspects were booked into the county jail.
At 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, Jacob Meineker, 41, of Pahrump, Nev., was arrested for theft of a means of transportation and failure to appear after deputies were dispatched to the 8400 block of Nancy’s Way in Sun Valley for a report of a theft. Meineker was booked into the county jail.
