The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of Jan. 5-11. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 2:58 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, Moises Oliveros, 46, of Heber, was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender after deputies made contact with Oliveros in the Holbrook area. Oliveros was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, Terrance Yazzie, 40, of Holbrook was arrested for failure to comply with a court order after deputies made contact with Yazzie in the Holbrook area. Yazzie was booked into the county jail.
