The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of May 19-25. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 1:34 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, Marvin Egan, 66, of Holbrook, was arrested for contempt of court after deputies made contact with Egan in the Holbrook area. Egan was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 3:42 p.m. on Sunday, Rudy Begay, 49, of Winslow, was arrested for trespassing after deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of Navajo Blvd., in Holbrook for a report of a trespasser. Begay was booked into the county jail.
At 9:35 a.m. on Monday, May 20, John Bay, 49, of Winslow, was arrested for failure to appear following a traffic stop on Wellfield Road at Coopertown Road in Winslow. Bay was booked into the county jail.
At 2:29 p.m. on Monday, Rulon Tungovia, 28, of Holbrook, was arrested for possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia and possession and/or use of dangerous drugs after deputies made contact with Tungovia in the Holbrook area. Tungovia was booked into the county jail.
At 2:33 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, Coleen Claw, 35, of Joseph City, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of failure to comply with a court order following a traffic stop on Navajo Blvd. in Holbrook. Claw was booked into the county jail.
At 8:14 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, Jerome Billie, 25, of Joseph City, was arrested for aggravated assault after deputies were dispatched to the area of Shelly Avenue and Main Street in Joseph City for a report of a disorderly person. Billie was booked into the county jail.
At 10:11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, Brent Begay, 20, of Many Farms, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on State Route 377 at milepost 22 in Holbrook.
At 6:19 p.m. on Thursday, Donzell Goodwin, 51, of Victorville, Calif., was arrested for possession and/or use of a narcotic drug and aggravated assault following a traffic stop on Interstate 40 at milepost 274 in the Joseph City area. Goodwin was booked into the county jail.
