The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of Feb. 9-15. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 1:25 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, George Goswick, 31, of Heber, was arrested for failure to appear after deputies made contact with Goswick in the Overgaard area. Goswick was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 7:31 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, Russell Morgan, 42, of Overgaard, was arrested for disorderly conduct and assault/domestic violence after deputies were dispatched to the 2900 block of Paint Pony Lane in Overgaard for a report of an assault. Morgan was booked into the county jail.
At 3:55 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, Jonathan Jackson, 39, of Heber, was cited and released for hit and run after deputies were dispatched to the area of Constellation Lane and Skyhawk Drive in Overgaard for a report of a hit and run.
At 12:39 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, Bellarmino Ortega, 34, of Oceanside, Calif., was cited and released for criminal speeding while driving on a suspended/revoked/canceled license following a traffic stop on the State Route 260 at milepost 308 in Overgaard.
At 12:39 p.m. on Saturday, Elias Tapia, 63, of Lubbock, Texas, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on State Route 260 at milepost 308 in the Overgaard area.
