On Tuesday, deputies responded to the Family Dollar Store, located at 2857 State Route 260 in Overgaard regarding a theft. It was reported that the unknown suspect entered a store, gathered numerous items in a shopping cart and exited the store without paying. The clerk confronted the suspect outside the store who then fled the area in a vehicle, leaving the items behind. The license plate of the vehicle was documented by the store clerk and the investigation is ongoing.

On Friday, April 3, deputies responded to the 2000 block of Lumber Valley Road in Overgaard to investigate a possible fraud. During the investigation it was learned that the victim had sent a check through the mail and during delivery it was stolen. Since the theft several checks have been forged utilizing the routing number from the check and funds have been withdrawn from the victim’s account. This investigation is ongoing.

Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.

On Friday, Oct. 25, Aaron Reidhead, 44, of Heber was arrested for disorderly conduct on Camp Road and Sibcy Road in Heber. Reidhead was cited and released.

On Friday, Perry Axon, 35, of Pinedale, was arrested for theft of a vehicle and two warrants after deputies responded to Forest Service Road 146 in Heber regarding a subject wanting to turn himself in for warrants. Axon was booked into the Show Low Annex of the Navajo County Jail.

On Sunday, Oct. 13, Joshua Walton, 35, of Snowflake was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies responded to the 3800 block of Lewis Avenue in Snowflake regarding a domestic violence incident. Walton was booked into the Navajo County Jail.

On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Michael Willis, 39, of Phoenix was arrested for misconduct involving weapons, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transport of marijuana for sale after deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to yield at a stop sign in Overgaard. Willis was booked into the county jail.

On Sunday, Kathleen Nolan, 72, of Overgaard was arrested for interfering with judicial proceedings after deputies responded to the 3300 block of Apache Drive in Overgaard regarding an order of protection violation. Nolan was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
