The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of April 7-13. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 12:51 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, Juliette Scott, 48, of Phoenix, was arrested for failure to appear after deputies made contact with Scott in the Heber area. Scott was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 9:02 a.m. on Friday, April 12, William Melchior, 59, of Heber, was arrested for theft of a means of transportation, burglary, theft, two counts of misconduct involving weapons and three counts of possession of stolen property after deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of Byrnes Drive in Heber. Melchior was booked into the county jail.
