The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of Aug. 23-29. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 11:39 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, James Shourd, 81, of Heber, was arrested for theft after deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of State Route 260 in Heber for a report of theft. Shourd was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, Paul Del Rio, 32, of Phoenix was arrested for disorderly conduct and assault after deputies were dispatched to the 3300 block of Turkey Run in Overgaard for a report of an intoxicated individual. Del Rio was booked into the county jail.
At 7:33 a.m. on Thursday, Vertis Jones, 51, of Mesa, was cited and released for theft after deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of State Route 260 in Heber for a report of theft.
