The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 4 during the period of Jan. 8-14. Area 4 covers approximately 1,800 square miles, and encompasses the unincorporated areas of Snowflake/Taylor, Shumway, Cedar Hills, White Mountain Lake and Show Low Pines. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by the officers are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 7:52 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, Warren Yazzie, 40, of Chinle was arrested for driving on a suspended/revoked or canceled license following a traffic stop on Main Street and 19th South Street in Snowflake. At 5:16 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, Eligio Zamora, 53, of Snowflake was arrested for failure to appear following a traffic stop on Concho Highway and Encanto east of Snowflake. Zamora was booked into the Navajo County Jail. At 8:34 p.m. on Monday, Tyler Sherman, 31, of Show Low was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on White Mountain Lake Road at Juniper Ridge Drive.
