Roy C. Hendershot, 85, passed away on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at his home in Winslow. Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock this morning (Oct. 17) at Valley Baptist Church, located at 300 E. Mahoney St. in Winslow. A viewing was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, at Greer’s Mortuary Chapel in Winslow. Interment will be held in Desert View Cemetery in Winslow. He was born on Sept. 8, 1929, in Parma, Ohio. He moved from Cleveland, Ohio, in 1981 to Arizona. He was a pastor for Baptist Mid-Missions, and retired in March 2003. Survivors include his two sons, John (Connie) and Jim (Maria); his daughter Janice (David) Cross; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Charles; his brother Bob; his first wife, Grace; and his second wife, Joan.
